Biological Control Organisms (BCO's)

Fire blight (Erwinia amylovora) is important for fruit production in Belgium. The aim of this project is the development of a control strategy to protect (primary or secondary) blossoms of apple and pear using (existing and new) biological control organisms (BCOs) applied in the orchards by bumblebees and other social insects.
