Observation of fungi in fruit

In 2017 the severity of scab infections on apple and pear was rather low in most of the orchards. The climatological conditions were this year in favor of powdery mildew infections. The brown spot disease (Stemphylium vesicarium) was on the other hand causing less damage in several pear orchards as compared to previous years. In strawberry the disease Pestalotiopsis causes more and more damage.
